Sheldon’s Egg & Bacon Butty
The finest breakfast you can have without lifting a fork.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 slices of bacon
- 1 handful of salad leaves
- Salt and pepper
- dollop of ketchup
OPTIONS
- 1 poached egg
- 2 slices of black pudding
- 1 tbsp of Hollandaise sauce
Lancashire Oven Bottom Muffin

Instructions
Slice your Oven Bottom Muffin. Line it with two thick slices of smoky bacon. Add a fried egg cooked as you like it and finish with a healthy squirt of ketchup.
And if you’ve worked up a real Lancashire appetite, you could even add a slice or two of black pudding!
By the way, we’ve actually poshed ours up for the photo – so if you want to recreate this, just put a layer of leafy salad or wilted spinach under the bacon, top with a freshly-poached egg and finish with warmed Hollandaise sauce.
