The Sheldon’s team are back for their 6th consecutive Mission Christmas campaign.
Mission Christmas: The reception is ready and waiting!
Whilst there have been some changes over at the Radio Stations, with Key 103 now becoming Hits Radio, this hasn’t changed the fundraising over at the Sheldon’s Manchester Bakery.
The company reception is primed and ready to accept donations from charitable local businesses and residents, and the company is running their own internal drive to gather more presents than ever for the needy children of Manchester.
Just like last year, the company will be putting their Vintage Vehicle ‘Bertha’ back into action. The team again partner up with Asda Eastlands to ask shoppers to join in with the Christmas spirit. A team of dedicated staff from the bakery will be on hand to take presents off shoppers and ensure they make it back to the bakery safely. And as the campaign draws closer to the big day, the staff are even going to be there on a Saturday to ensure everyone gets their chance to donate.
It’s a worthwhile cause.
More than half the children living in Manchester are living in poverty, and every year these children and their families face a Christmas without gifts. Sheldon’s firmly believes that no child should go without gifts at Christmas, and pledged to take part in the Mission Christmas campaign back in 2012. Every year the fundraising, done by Sheldon’s and the hundreds of volunteers in Manchester taking park in Mission Christmas, ensures that Christmas can be a day of giving for every child.
Getting involved is super easy. We are on hand at Asda Eastlands again this Christmas time to accept donations from shoppers and the local public looking to donate. Our reception is also open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday to accept donations too. If you have a large number of gifts you wish to donate from your business, why not give us a call on 0161 822 6276 and we can see if we can help you. We’re unable to assist collecting gifts from local residents however.
